How a Love for Popcorn Became Poprika

I've always loved popcorn. But whenever I picked up a bag from well-known brands, I kept seeing the same ingredients — palm oil, artificial flavours, artificial colours, and other unnecessary additives.

Then another question came to mind. Why are most popcorn flavours inspired by the West? Caramel. Cheese. Sour Cream & Onion. They're classics, but I wondered why we weren't celebrating the flavours we grew up with. Why not Chikki, Filter Coffee, Rasmalai, or the countless flavours that make Indian food so special?

That's when I decided to create something different. Poprika was born with a simple idea: make popcorn using real ingredients and create flavours inspired by India.

The journey wasn't easy. I knew nothing about starting a food business. Everything — from learning how to pop the perfect corn and developing recipes to packaging, food safety, and building a brand — was learned one step at a time.

Today, every batch is still made with the same purpose.
